  This clinic pays more attention to your payment than you as a patient. No matter what fault they are at, they will hold you responsible for their fault. In my case, there was a glitch in their insurance filling. They did not contact us for 10 months. When they did sent us letters, the letters got returned to them as we had moved a few months earlier. They did not call us and send a letter to our new address. Instead, they waited for another 18 months and then sent the bill to a debt collect agency. We learned about the failed insurance filling through a letter from the debt collect agency, which is way more effective in finding our new address. In the two weeks following the debt letter, I made multiple calls to them and to my insurance company, despite the fact that I am currently working in Sweden as the Fulbright Distinguished Chair this year. I found out why my insurance company denied their claim, and asked them to re-file their claim. Their answer was that the deadline for insurance filing had long passed and it is now my responsibility as a patient. There is absolutely nothing they will do. They don’t care about being fair or reasonable, they only care about your payment. They knew the deadline for insurance filling and they did not contact us in time to get this resolved. We could have brought them to a small claim court, but we are living in Sweden this year on behalf of the U.S. State Department. We will pay the bill but just want to share our experience.
